Any resident of Kwara State, or anyone with information about a missing person connected to Kwara State, can use this platform. You do not need to be a family member to report someone missing or to submit a tip.
No. You can submit a case immediately without a police report. Your case will be marked UNVERIFIED until a police report is provided, but it will still be listed publicly. We strongly encourage filing a police report as soon as possible. Under Section 90 of the Nigerian Police Act 2020, officers must act within 24 hours.
Your digital poster is generated automatically as soon as you submit the form. It is ready for download and sharing within minutes.
UNVERIFIED means the case has been submitted but not yet cross-referenced with a police report. VERIFIED (shown in green) means the platform has confirmed the case with official documentation. Both types are publicly listed and should be shared responsibly.
Yes. Reporting a missing person, searching the database, and submitting a tip are entirely free. The platform is funded by the Kwara State Government under the SafeState Initiative.
The Kwara State Missing Persons Platform complies with Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023. Your data is used only for the purpose of resolving missing persons cases and is never sold or shared for commercial purposes. Tips may, with your consent, be shared with the Nigeria Police Force.
Log in to your account and update the case status to FOUND. You will be asked to confirm and provide brief details. The case will be archived and a resolution notification shared. We celebrate every reunion.
Yes. If the last known location was in Kwara State, please file the report here. We will coordinate with the relevant state platform or police command as needed.
You may submit a tip completely anonymously. Your identity is never required. We encourage any information, however small you think it may be, as it could be the key to bringing someone home.
Aggregated, anonymised data can be requested by writing to mpp@kwara.gov.ng. Individual case data is not shared except with authorised law enforcement agencies.
